Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 6, 2026

Cadence ("Cadence", "we", "us") is an AI assistant that helps you create, manage, and publish social media posts. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, how we protect it, and how you can delete it.

If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@ecadence.ai.

Information we collect

We collect the following to provide the service:

  • Account data: your email address, your name, and a securely hashed password.
  • Workspace data: the workspaces (tenants) you create or join and your role in them.
  • Brand and content data: company/brand profiles, drafts, generated captions, uploaded images, and scheduling information you provide.
  • Facebook connection data: when you connect a Facebook Page, we receive and store the Page's ID, name, and category, the permissions you grant, and a Page access token used to publish on your behalf. The access token is encrypted at rest.
  • Technical data: basic logs and error diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect your Facebook profile, friends list, or personal Facebook content. We only request the permissions needed to list and publish to Pages you manage.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate Cadence — authentication, creating and managing posts, and publishing to the platforms you connect.
  • To generate content using AI when you ask us to.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
  • To communicate with you about your account and the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI and third-party service providers

To deliver the service we share the minimum necessary data with trusted providers acting on our behalf:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, database, and file storage, in the European Union (Frankfurt, eu-central-1).
  • Anthropic and OpenAI — AI text and content generation for the prompts and brand context you submit.
  • Tavily — web research used by some content-generation features.
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook) — to publish the posts you choose to publish to your connected Pages.
  • Sentry — error monitoring (configured not to capture personal data by default).

Where your data is stored

Your account and content data are stored on AWS infrastructure in the European Union (Frankfurt region). Uploaded images are stored in encrypted object storage and served over HTTPS.

How we protect your data

  • All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Passwords are stored only as salted hashes (never in plaintext).
  • Facebook Page access tokens are encrypted at rest.
  • Access is scoped per workspace so members only see data in workspaces they belong to.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete data at any time:

  • Disconnect a Facebook Page — in Cadence go to Connections and choose Disconnect. This permanently deletes the stored Page connection and its encrypted access token from your workspace.
  • Delete your account — email privacy@ecadence.ai from your account address and we will delete your account and associated personal data.

See our Data Deletion page for step-by-step instructions.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@ecadence.ai.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only: a secure, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in, and a small cookie that remembers your language preference. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children

Cadence is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you through the service.
